What is CROWN III Topdressing?
CROWN III Topdressing is a patented crumb rubber product that protects the crown of the turf from heavy wear. Michigan State University (Patent # 5,622,002) is the patent holder and Dr. John (Trey) Rogers is the professor at Michigan State who has researched and recommends CROWN III Topdressing. The size of the crumb rubber particle ranges from a 1/4 inch to a 16 mesh, depending on the turf and the activity on the turf.

What does CROWN III Topdressing do?
CROWN III Topdressing protects the crown of the plant from heavy traffic. Without CROWN III, the grass crown (located between the blade and the roots of the plants), can easily be damaged by foot traffic. Once the crown is damaged, the plant looses it's vigor and becomes ill-healthed. The more traffic, the more damaged the plant becomes, and eventually dies. CROWN III Topdressing establishes a 3/4 inch layer of crumb rubber which protects the crown and keeps the turf in a healthy condition. CROWN III also promotes an earlier green-up, later fall growing period, reduces watering requirements and reduces sport injuries.

Backyards - play areas, dog runs, work areas.

How to Install CROWN III Topdressing!
CROWN III must be installed on healthy, well established turf. Installation is as simple as a shovel, hand rotary spreader, topdressor or industrial spreader. Distribute CROWN III Topdressing on top of the grass for 3 separate applications, once a month for three months, to establish a 3/4 inch thick layer of crumb rubber.
